Non-Linear Animation
 
In this example an animation is created with graphic elements moving in and out using different time delay settings in the build menu. The animation is created by adding build effects to the elements and then assigning them all to start their motion paths at the same time.
 
In the new version of Keynote '08, Apple has added the ability to build custom motion paths (referred to as Actions)which is similar to the "Effects" control found in PowerPoint.
